  • Hi,

    1. Check the sitefolderserver by running the EXBPA. If any error indicates about sitefolderserver, fix it at the first time.

    2. F/B info on Exchange 2003 are stored in public folder. If there are several public folder stores, you need to make sure they are replicated without errors.

    3. Make sure the Outlook clients can connect to their default public folder stores successfully.

    4. Make sure users have the proper permissions on the public folder->System folder->SCHEDULE + FREEBUSY

    Thanks,

    Simon

  • =If Exchange 2003 User is not able to query Free+Busy of Exchange (2003/2007) with any version of Outlook client then we have to troubleshoot on Public Folder Replication.

=If (Exchange 2007/2010) user is not able to query FreeBusy of Exchange 2003 User with Outlook 2003 client we have to still troubleshoot Troubleshoot PF Replication as Outlook 2003 doesn't use Autodiscovery & Availability service.

=IF Exchange 2007/2010 User is not able to see FreeBusy of Exchange 2003 User with (outlook 2007/2010) then could be an issue with the \Public Virtual Directory on Exchange 2003 Server.

= if it is an issue between 2007/2010 & 2007/2010 then we have to troubleshoot the Availaility Service.

Hope you got some idea on how FB works with various Versions!

  • on 2nd Point how to check replication is working fine .

  • - Create a post on any of the public folders on one server by logging on to Outlook/OWA with user on Server1 and check for that post on the Target Server to see if the post is available when the users on the other server logs on outlook/owa.

    - if the post is visible then PF Replication is working fine if it is not then it is not working.

    - If you are having issues with Outlook then run outlook /cleanfreebusy from the run prompt.

    - In case if it is not displayed on OWA after waiting for sometime we have to Troubleshoot on FreeBusy Issues.
