My Task View (custom layout, filter, "group by" settings) - MS Project Server 2010 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

I like to provide a pre-defined My Task view for all users as default view.
We provide for each Project a Project Website, which uses the "My Task" Web-Part

Actually I do some manual changes to the Layout, Filters and View settings (for each user) to get a better visibility, task overview for the user.

What I do manually is the following:

Change the lay-out of the My Task Web-Part to "Sheet"

Change the Group by settings to the following settings:

I tried to add a filter, so that only the tasks related to the project of the current project website are displayed.
But there is a big gap the filter settings are getting stored by the server as well so that the user always see only the task of the initial project.

Here now the question, is there a way to set this settings as default settings to ALL users and is it possible to set the filter as described?

    Kind regards

    Jonny

  • HI there,

Project Server 2010 does not allow the Project Server administrator to apply filtering, grouping, or sorting in the My Assignments view for every user in PWA.  control filtering, group, and sorting options are not currently available for the Project Server administrator.

You will need to create a custom web part using PSI to show user assignments & have it on project site template.

    Hope that helps.
