MDOP Application virtualization

Question

Hi,
I am planning to implement MDOP Appv.
However our business is asking justification for implementing this.
1. what all application we can push or sequence using Appv apart from microsoft office.
2.Whether we can save on licensing if we deploy appv ..incase of microsoft office or any 3rd party application.
3.Any other special advantage of Appv v/s installing s/w locally.
Appreciate ur reply

See here for a list of what can be virtualised: http://blogs.technet.com/b/appv/archive/2007/09/27/list-of-applications-that-can-be-virtualized.aspx
There isn't a definitive list of applications that an be virtualised because all applications and environments have different requirements. For a community driven list of applications that have been virtualized, see here: http://www.delicious.com/aaronparker/AppVRecipe

Hello,
1. Usually that depends very much on your need of applications and in most cases; what specific needs of those applications you have. I suggest you try the applications you have in mind.2. App-V does not alter any licensing compliance requirement
3. You can see the sales spreadsheet here for more information;
