VM with Hyper-V and Veeam not restoring one of the drives RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have a Host server with Hyper-V running a file server that has two drives (C and E). We use Veeam to backup the VM and then put it up to the cloud. I've noticed that when I try to restore a files from the file server VM I only have the option to restore drive C, not drive E. Although, I know E is being backed up. This does not happen all the time and sometimes it works just fine. Actually, usually after a reboot of the server it functions properly. I have reached out to Veeam and they said there is some possible corruption in the source files of the server.

Also, I ran DISM, per this article (https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/947821/fix-windows-update-errors-by-using-the-dism-or-system-update-readiness) and got the following error: Error: 0x800f081f.

However, I'm a bit lost as to what do to about it.

Hoping to get some direction on what I can try next.
