PS2010 Identify resource overallocations for all resources in an organization RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi everybody,

We have about 300 enterprise resources for over 100 projects. After the initial save/publish of all project plans through web, is there any way/view to track overallocated resources and the projects where the conflict/overallocation occurs?

We're struggling to find an out of the box view that will do this; it seems that Resource Availability will give us one hint, but it does not highlight the resources or projects where the actual overallocation occurs.

    Any ideas?

No, there is no built-in view in either Microsoft Project 2010 or in PWA that will show you this information.  I would recommend that you build a custom Business Intelligence Center report that shows this kind of information for all resources.  Or your Project Server administrator could also build a custom report in SQL Reporting Services or Crystal Reports to show this information as well.  Hope this helps.
