BSOD Driver power state failure RRS feed

  • I have HP Pavilion DV6-6165tx laptop and I re-install Windows7 64bit on 25th June 2012 after updating windows update i got a BSOD screen stating the DRIVER_POWER_STATE  failure

    What could be the possible cause of BSOD and how can i resolve it

    According to the error DRIVER_POWER_STATE  failure, you can refer to Bug Check 0x9F: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE.


    To check the this issue, please locate the dump file in the \Windows\Minidump folder and upload it so that we can analyze it. Before we could get your Minidump files, you can check following:


    1. Perform a system restore to test the issue

    2. Test the issue in Clean Boot 

    3. Update BIOS and drivers


    Furthermore, I suggest that you can contact Microsoft Customer Support Service (CSS) for assistance so that this problem can be resolved efficiently.
