Windows Explorer keeps freeze whenever I press Ctrl+letter, Alt+Tab, enter in search bars. RRS feed

  • Question

  • As stated in the title, my Windows Explorer will freeze if I try to do Ctrl+letter. It seems like any letter causes the crash but I mainly want to be able to do things like Copy and Paste. Right click > copy or paste works however. Clicking something and press Del to delete also causes freezing, yet I can once again right click > Delete without freezing. I cannot Alt+Tab or else it freezes. I cannot enter letters in any Windows forms either such as the search bar in the start menu, or the standard search in Windows Explorer. This just started happening randomly after I booted my computer for the first time this morning.

Any idea what the problem might be? Thank you very much for your time.

Answers

  • It seems the issue is related with your keyboard. Try reinstall the keyboard driver to the latest one and see the result.

If it does not work, try it on another computer.
