What happened to logon.scr in Windows 7? RRS feed

  • Why was this removed from Windows 7 (Enterprise Edition)? I configure logon.scr and lock workstation in Group Policy for the company's desktops. Since logon.scr no longer exists, Windows 7 computers set the screen saver to None. I use logon.scr because it is simple, not just a blank screen, and has always existed in every version of Windows.

  • I'm also supprised it's gone because for one it is the prime place for Microsoft to display their logo and also it was kind of cool.
