Running Diskpart script at end of OS Task Sequence RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am trying to run a diskpart script at the end of an OSD Task Sequence.

I have a Run Command Line Task that points to a package. The command line is

    diskpart /s Partition.txt

The partition.txt file contains the following commands

    select disk 0
    create partition primary size=9000
    select Volume 3
    set id=84 override

This command runs fine if I run the command manually after the installation however it always errors out when run as part of the task sequence. I use a similar process of creating an Package to do an xcopy and that works fine. Am I missing something?

Below is what I am getting from the smsts log for the diskpart command:

  • To eliminate any ambiguity, I always wrap command-lines that reference configuration files in a batch file and use %~dp0 to fully qualify those configuration files.

  • Hi,

How does your command line look like? it could be a problem with the current workingdirectory..

  • Here is the one I use for the xcopy which works fine so I'm not sure what the difference is.
