Active Directory user and group migration Issue through ADMT

    Question

  • Hi Team,

    scenario : migrating domain controller to other 

    trust is built between the domain controllers and observed that it is working fine

    ping and admin privileges are also working fine

    when i start migrating the user i am getting the below error which is stopping me to migrate the user and groups

    attached here with the error message. 

    

     please suggest what needs to be done.

    There is no issue with global administrator it is already a local group

    and auditing is enabled but still stuck there.

  • Try to nslook the trusted domain and see if you are able to resolve. Cross check if you have configured DNSsuffix & Conditional forwarder for trusted domain
    Also check if you are able to revalidate the trust 
    Go to AD Domains and Trusts > Select the domain > Go to properties > Select trust > Click on properties > Click on validate

  • Nslookup is working

    dns suffix is there and we had secondary zones across trusted domain controllers

    and in properties we are able to observe that truse is working properly

    after restarting my both trusted domains it started working 

    dont know what is the root cause :)
