ActiveSync very slow on iPhone with Exchange 2013 SP1 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am having a problem with Exchange 2013 Version 15.0 (Build 847.32) AKA service pack 1

ActiveSync takes 2 full minutes each time I try to sync any iPhone (spinning circle on iPhone or ipad). The same account works fine using any android device, takes just a few seconds.

The remote connectivity analyzer has found no issues. I have tried several IPhone and ipad versions on several different accounts with the same results.

The same iPhone works fine against another exchange server for another client. Takes just a few seconds

    Any Ideas?

  • I have solved this issue, the problem ended up to be firewall related. The web content filtering module in the firewall was causing the issue. I have disabled web content filtering on the firewall until the firewall vendor comes up with a resolution to the issue. Funny that it only affected iPhone and iPad devices, not android or windows phones or OWA. It also did not affect the Exchange 2010 server, as everything worked fine before the migration to EX 2013.

The problem was on any iPhone or iPad, using IOS 6 7 or 8

    Thanks for the reply
