Project Wall Chart RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi. Looking for assistance and lessons learned on printing an easy to understand Wall Chart (36" x 48") of multiple projects shown in a Gantt format with key milestones and percent complete for each of the projects.  Any help or examples would be appreciated.

  • AND - add to Rod & Rob's questions - do you have access to a plotter printer?  I have had clients print their schedules on a plotter printer and wallpaper a room with the print outs.

You can always open all of your projects that you want combined, then combine the projects using New Window.  Then filter the projects using the milestone filter or any other filter you would like.  Adjust the timescale and see if that gets you closer to what you are looking for.

  • What version of Project, what service pack level? How many projects, what's the average number of milestones per project? Do you have Project Server?

  • In addition to Rod's questions:

: what have you tried, and of what you tried, what worked and did not work?

: how do you distinguish "key" vs. "non-key" milestones in Project? Use flag fields?

: have you discovered how to show the percent complete column in a Gantt Chart?

: you say multiple projects ... are you using master/subprojects?

: are you up to using paper, scissors, and glue to populate the big sheet of paper (36" x 48") or do you expect to fill this whole page with output automatically produced from Project?
