Password Reset Users Set RRS feed

  • Question

  • What is password reset users set for?

Is this where you define whose password can be changed or who can change the password?

Answers

  • Well, both A and B are related in a way or another.

Let's say a user forgot their password, now FIM offers password reset which works by answering the secret questions the user already configured upon first login. So if that user is part of "Password Reset Users" set, they can change the password using this reset feature, if not, then they can't.

Only those users can register first time for password reset who are in the Password reset set.

    Example.

User "A" is in password reset set. User "A" register (Answer 3,4...10 number of questions when login first time if the the add-in is installed or browse the password registration portal). In future user "A" Forget his/her password. User "A" will reset the password if he/she right answer for the questions.

A user "B" was not in the password reset set. He/She can't register for password registration service. Because he/she is not allowed for that
