Adding Keywords for Effective Search RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I have a requirement where we need to add keywords for documents in the document library which will allow to have more keywords for documents and effective for Search.

Search is currently working as expected and pulling down the document in the Search page.

How do I make it more effective?

What is the Pros and Cons of using Enterprise Metadata and Keyword Settings ?

    Any other Suggestions.

    Many thanks

  • Hi,

Yes, SharePoint provides new feature called "Enterprise Metadata and Keywords", which can make enterprise search more effective.

You can enable Enterprise Keyword in a list, then you can search the keyword values, which will only return the item you needed.

How to configure keyword search for your reference:

The enterprise keywords column is a fantastic addition to the offering provided in SharePoint 2010 and it improves the robustness of your corporate taxonomy.
