Uninstall Device Driver? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I want to connect my Android-powered MyTouch 3G to my computer (for development), but to do that it requires that specific driver be installed. However, whenever I plug in my phone, Windows Vista lists it in the device manager as using the "WPD FileSystem Volume Driver". This only allows me to mount the SD card, and is not the driver I need installed.

The only way I've been able to find to install a new driver for the device would be to select "Update Driver" in the context menu, but the driver wizard claims the drivers are up to date even though I've pointed it to the directory with the new drivers. If I select "Uninstall Driver" it basically just removes the device, but does nothing to the association and the same driver is used when I unplug and plug the device back in.

    Any help?
