Getting starting in Project Server 2013 (from a SharePoint Admin perspective) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Afternoon all,

I'm a SharePoint professional of a few years that has recently been asked to take ownership of a planned Project Server 2013 deployment.  Whilst I'm comfortable with the installation and configuration of the product within the SharePoint architecture, I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to the entry point.  As I've also been requested to provide some introductory training, I'm in a bit of a quandry.

What I'd therefore like to ask is, what are the actual entry points for Project Server 2013?  Does it add any additional web parts, site definitions, list / library templates etc?  And how does it tie into the client side application?

Any links, pointers, or good videos would be appreciated.  Not a technical deepdive but enough to write a PS2014 101 for my inherited users.

    Many thanks,
