Restore Deleted Task Sequence RRS feed

  • Question

  • I accidentally deleted a Task Sequence that I am trying to restore.

I was able to find a copy of the TS folder that contains ts.xml and unattend.xml. I have copied the folder in my Deployment Share in the Control folder

I still cannot see the TS in the MDT console.

    What should I do?

  • Hi,

    you need the following files:

    Unattend.xml

    ts.xml

    from "C:\DeploymentShare\Control\<TASKSEQUENCENAME>"

Create a new TS, close MDT, replace the xml-files in the new TS Folder, start MDT.

    Done!

  • EDIT: ToniBert's reply below is the easiest way.  I havent fully woken up yet.

You will have to edit the TaskSequences.xml and TaskSequenceGroups.xml.  The first one would be to make sure the TS has a guid, name, uniqueid...   The second would be where it lives in the folder tree in the Work Bench.
