  • Question

  • Hi,

    I have followed the steps as outlined here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff468700.aspx and am getting issues as below when attempting to execute the following command in PS

    [PS] C:\Windows\system32>$CAS = get-exchangeserver | where { $_.ServerRole -match "ClientAccess" }

    [PS] C:\Windows\system32>$CAS | foreach-object {Add-ADPermission -Identity $_.DistinguishedName -User (Get-User -Identit

    y Holding_Company\Proj_SP_ServerFarm | select-object).identity -extendedRights ms-Exch-EPI-Impersonation}

    The operation couldn't be performed because object 'Holding_Company\Proj_SP_ServerFarm' couldn't be found on 'BEINCDC.b

    useireann.local'.

        + CategoryInfo          : NotSpecified: (:) [Get-User], ManagementObjectNotFoundException

        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : D12D5E14,Microsoft.Exchange.Management.RecipientTasks.GetUser

    Cannot bind argument to parameter 'User' because it is null.

        + CategoryInfo          : InvalidData: (:) [Add-ADPermission], ParameterBindingValidationException

        + FullyQualifiedErrorId : ParameterArgumentValidationErrorNullNotAllowed,Add-ADPermission

  • Thanks Hrishi, it appears it was actually due to the domain issue which is still ongoing as the Server Queue accountwas on a different domain

  • I assume the account which you have logged into Exchange server is  member of exchange administrators group
