Blacklisting by categorgy in Windows 10. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello Experts,

Does MS Endpoint Protection have the ability to “Black List” by category i.e. - can you black list all file sharing websites, music websites, etc ?

    Thanks,

    Pranay.

  • Hi ,

As far as I know, because Windows Defender is included in Windows 10, an endpoint protection agent does not need to be deployed to client computers. To manage endpoint protection for Windows 10 computers, we must configure System Center 2012 Configuration Manager to update and distribute malware definitions for Windows Defender. If this is your case, you can deploy Potentially Unwanted Application Protection Policy for Endpoint Protection in Configuration Manager. Please check the following link for detailed information. But, I am not sure if it is possible to setup “Black List” by category, it is suggested to contact our SCCM forum to confirm that.
