  • Hi,

    Can anyone send me the steps for migrating project server 2010 from one server to other server?

    Also please let me know some of the known issues during migration.

    Since I'm not a DBA, I'm not going into much technical details, but this is quite a common backup/restore procedure which is well documented.

    The process is same as the standard database attach restore you would use to migrate from 2007-2010. I have done this many times, and as long as you have all the permissions/accounts set correctly, the process is fairly smooth.

    Also, Depending on whether you used the server name of a DNS alias name to provision your PWA, you need to set up your redirect accordingly, so that users are not directed to the old site.

  • In addition to what other have mentioned, you should watch for any specific configurations like having custom links(absolute) pointing anywhere to your existing environment, watch out for any customizations that you have performed and may be dependent on specifics
