An Admin on the 2007 Site has removed access to the site URL RRS feed

    I have and Admin who is new to Sharepoint 2007 and a removed access to the URL for a subsite.  If to into "Site Content and Structure" we try to access the URL we get a 404 error, but if we go to any location below that we can access the site or library.

    The user says that she unchecked or x ed out a web part but I have tried to use the URL+?contents=1 to see the web parts but get the following error

    The requested page was not found or could not be loaded.   at Microsoft.SharePoint.WebControls.WebPartPageContents.OnInit(EventArgs e)
       at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer)
       at System.Web.UI.Control.InitRecursive(Control namingContainer)

    Any ideas?

    Hi,

    Can you access the site directly using the site url?

    And please go the Site content and structure page, check if there  any page or item of the subsite is still Draft and previous developer never checked them in, which means that there is no approved/published version for you to see.

    Go to the subsite check if there has incorrectly deleted lists under your site. Please go to view all site content, then check if you get any '404 not found' by clicking on any list or library. When you found non existent list go to site collection recycle bin and delete it in both recycle bins.
