1709: Site no longer opens in Edge RRS feed

  • Question

  • After upgrading our network PCs to 1709, there is a site that, when we navigate to it in Edge, opens automatically with IE 11.

    Prior to the update, it opened and worked fine in Edge. We've had this site in compatibility view and set it as a trusted site via GPO.

    Is there anyway to make it so it opens in Edge again? If theres any more info that you need, let me know.

  • 1. Try re-registering Edge. Run following command in administrative Windows PowerShell:

    Get-AppXPackage -AllUsers -Name Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge | Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml” -Verbose}

    2. Navigate to the following Folder and clear everything inside it.

  • Hi,

    Does the issue occur only on this specific website or several websites?

    Does the issue occur on all Windows 10 1709 devices or specific devices?

    Please check the issue again after install the latest update packages for Windows 10 1709.

    Try to reset or repair Edge through Settings\Apps\Apps&features\Microsoft Edge\Advanced options to check again.
