Antigen Managment Pack version 6.0.5000.0 (not targeting Tasks correctly)

Question

Hello
We have Antigen 9.x for Exchange (currently in Exchange 2003, but moving towards
Exchange 2010). I installed the above MP, however I see that TASKS are not
targeted correctly. For example it does not matter which Windows Computer you
select under the Windows Computer view in the Monitoring workspace of the
Operations Console, the tasks list on the right (under the Actions section)
always list the Antigen specific tasks, for example Update Engine Files etc.
etc. This is irritating as there are lots of tasks in the Antigen Management
Pack (not sure how many are really useful) and therefore my list of tasks is
not very long, no matter on which Windows Computer I am focused on. I am thinking the only option at the moment is to Export this sealed MP, adjust
myself, remove the original from the management group and reimport the adjusted
one. However before I embark on this, has anyone else had this issue? does anyone know of an
alternative management pack (community or commercial MP)?Thanks All

Hi
Be careful with breaking seals on management packs - in general it will cause more problems than it solves.

Having said that, in this instance, it might be your best bet as long as you NEVER want to upgrade this management pack and given its age, you probably won't need to ever update it because there probably won't be a new version to update to.
The latest MSFT DPM 2012 Management Pack has the same issue ... we are at the whim of the authors and how they scope items and what they expose as overrides.
Cheers

Hi,
Did you install the updated Microsoft Operations Manager 2005 Backward Compatibility Management Pack before import?
Antigen 9.0 Management Pack Readme

Hi
This is a scoping issue and nothing to do with the Backward compatibility management pack.
