SCOM Panes RRS feed

  • Question

  • I just installed SCOM 2007 for the first time and when I launch it, I've only got access to the Monitoring and My Workspace panes. I've done the Microsoft virtual labs for SCOM and it looks like it should have Reporting, Administration and a few others. Can anyone tell me how I can access thes panes?

    Thanks,

    Scott

I just found that if I open the Operations Console, I can use the GO button to navigate to the Authoring and Administration pages. I still don't have those panes available when I launch the web console. How can I add these into the web console?

    Thanks,

    Scott

  • Hi,

I am fairly sure this is not possible in the web console, it is only used for monitoring and not for authoring of new bits, you will need to use the full console.

Have a look http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb381318.aspx and it states the Web Console can be used for Monitoring only...

You may want to have a look at the SCE forum, which covers OpsMgr 2007 http://forums.microsoft.com/TechNet/default.aspx?ForumGroupID=92&SiteID=17

    cheers

You are correct. Thank you very much. The navigation pane was hidden on the SCOM console.

    Crisis averted.
