Virtual Store folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way of controlling the size that the hidden folder virtualstore located under the user\app data ?  The folder size starts out small but over time the folder grows and is using all most all of my 120gb HD.  I've had to go into save mode to delete this folder to regain the space on my hard drive.  The folder virtualstore has at time gotten to the size of 50gb and larger.   If this folder is used to help with running apps that need admin rights, I can understand that but once the program is done being used it should release the disk space used for the application.

If there is a setting or policy that can be set to controll this please let me know.

    Thanks.

  • You you can turn off virtualization entirely or identify the applicatoin that is virting this large amount of data (as that isn't normal) and manifest it so it does'nt virt.
