Power scheme auto change from balance mode to high performance mode when AC plug in for system idle 15 mins RRS feed

  • Question

  • dear All,

we found the issue as same as above title,

    the duplicate steps as below,

    1, Install WIN7 Install CD

    2. Setting the power plan to balance, the change all power settings to "never"

    3. plug in AC then let system idle for 15mins

    4. Found the power plan change to high performance mode.

i think the phenomenon was not correct, due to i choose the setting to never,

it should be keep the power plan setting that i setting,

could you please help to check the issue was normal behavior or not?

or the issue was related for BIOS?

    Thank you.

  • Which hardware do you use? I never seen this before. Please try a BIOS update and give Feedback if this solves it.

  • I have the same problem. I created a plan myself and, don't matter what I do, when I plug the ac adapter it comes back to "high performance" profile and don't get back to my profile when I plug it off.

Already with the latest bios and windows updates.
