I have a Exchange 2010 SP1 standard server installed on a Windows 2008 R2 server. I don't have an Edge Transport server so I enabled the anti-spam agent on the hub transport. Yes I restarted the transport service. Things are working fairly well. I have noticed in my WSUS server update that there are updates for:
Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Enterprise Anti-spam Filter Updates v3.3.10529.481
Microsoft Exchange Server Standard Anti-spam Filter Updates v3.3.10521.054
Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Enterprise Block List Updates v3.3.10521.054
I decline the Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 Enterprise Anti-spam Filter Updates as I have standard server. The server never requests the Block List Updates. How do I enable the block list updates?
the IP Block list service that is provided by the Microsoft IP Reputation Service. For more information about how to add block list providers, see How to Configure IP Allow List and IP Block List Providers.
I understand you declined the updates in the first place because they were intended for "enterprise", right?
I have one Exchange 2007 STD running and all updates pushed by WSUS, including "enterprise block lists", have been applied successfully and never had a single problem.
I thought you were running 2007...sorry, my bad.
