Windows Server 2016 NPS RFC 4675 Support RRS feed

  • Question

  • Does anyone know if NPS in Windows Server 2016 will support RFC 4675 to allow Dynamic Tagged VLAN support?  I have the Technical Preview 2, and I do not see anything as of yet.

    Thanks,

    Rick

  • Hi,

watch out 'cause NAP is a feature deprecated on Windows 2012 R2

So it could be that NAP won't be there in Windows 2016 (maybe there will be something to replace it?)

  • Hi,

Network Access Protection (NAP) is deprecated in Windows Server 2012 R2. Other options for keeping client computers up to date and secure for remote access include DirectAccess, Windows Web Application Proxy, and various non-Microsoft solutions.

Based on my search, there is still no much information about this in Windows Server 2016 (Technical Preview).
