Applying Update Rollup 11 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I installed SCOM 2012R2 RTM (7.1.10226.0) and followed the procedure listed here  https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/kevinholman/2016/09/06/ur11-for-scom-2012-r2-step-by-step/ to apply RU11. Successfully installed the Server, WebConsole & Console .msp (Kb3183990) & also successfully executed the SQL scripts against the two DB respectively. Restarted the server too.

But when I view issue “Get-SCOMManagementServer | fl Version” the output still displays Version: 7.1.10266.0. When I view the Console version its show me Version 7.1.10226.1239. So, is my server actually updated to RU11?
    What could be wrong?

  • You should have read the article you link a little bit more carefully ;)

You need to check for files and dll versions in the SCOM install dir, this is the only way to confirm an UR has been properly installed

  • Hi There,

By default the Agent version / MS Version will reflect the build version of the product and not the patch.

If you want to validate the Agent's version of UR then use the command Get-SCOMAgent | Select Networkname, Patchlist

For the management servers you will need to validate the DLL files s per Kevin's post.

  • CyrAZ, although the file version for select files as per the link is showing up-to-date, i was wondering why the powershell was not reflecting the changes.
