I have tried everything. I'm running Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2 installed yesterday. Prior to installing the SP 2, Vista would not read my dvd drive and I could not play any dvds either rented or purchased I can burn music and files and I can see them. But when I put in a movie, i get nothing. I have deleted the upper and lower filters I have unistalled the drivers for the DVD rom and the Bust Thing ( under the ATA in the device manager) and reinstalled them. I still got nothing! I am at my wits end here! Any suggestions? Do you think it has to do with the protection thingy? (Sorry I forgot the three letter acroynm, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about)
