Update to Power Query Preview breaks PostgreSQL connection RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

after upgrading from Power Query 1.5x to the current October preview, the connections to our PostgreSQL database don't work anymore.

The error message in the Power Query window is just:

Unexpected error: The evaluation terminated unexpectedly. Details:    at...

The error we see on the server side is:

could not receive data from client: Connection reset by peer
    unexpected EOF on client connection

Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround? And if not: What's the best way to downgrade? A restore to the system point before installing the update doesn't work on Windows 8.1 - then e.g. the about button is broken and the Power Query Addin crashes.

Thanks for the data, we have identified a problem and working on a fix for this. It should be available soon in an update of Power Query.
