  • Hi Amit,

If the SSL certificate is trusted, it will not affect the existing workflows.

What certificate did you use? Was it published by internal CA or Internet CA?

If it is publised by internal CA, you can use certificate auto enrollment to renew it. And if it is published by Internet CA, you need to export certificates from the workflow Manager server and import it into SharePoint Server 2013.

More information, please refer to the links:

  • Thanks Wendy.

The certificate is internet CA and its third party. So when we add new certificate I need to know the steps in workflow manager settings to update the certificate. I do not want to run the workflow manager wizard where there is a setting to change the cert but it also changes workflow db and farm settings etc.

I need steps to update/replace certificate in workflow manager service.

  • we do not have seperate workflow manager server. Workflow manager resides on same server.

The problem is there is a step when you setup workflow manager to attach certificate(we attached 3rd party)

Now as that certificate is expiring we would like to configure new cert for the same workflow manager service without affecting current workflow.

How to update the certificate for workflow manager/

Is it just central admin change in trusts or few steps or re configuring workflow manager(last option not good for us in production)

  • Thanks Wendy that worked!

but we have one issue after this. It gives us error in outbound certificate.

The commands on harbar does not give how to update outbound signing certs.

    We tried these commands

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/azure/jj729741(v=azure.10).aspx

    http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/azure/jj729744(v=azure.10).aspx

Are these the correct commands to update outbound certificate for workflow manager?

These did not give any error but outbound cert still shows old thumbprint.
