  • Hi Stylaren,

    I experienced the same issue when I replicated your problem.

    I found a solution by customizing the default value for this attribute.

    In your "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager\2010\Password Registration Portal" folder create a folder named "Customizations". In the Customizations folder create a file named "Strings.Resources".

    Paste the following into the file

    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <root>
      <resheader name="resmimetype">
        <value>text/microsoft-resx</value>
      </resheader>
      <resheader name="version">
        <value>2.0</value>
      </resheader>
      <resheader name="reader">
        <value>System.Resources.ResXResourceReader, System.Windows.Forms, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089</value>
     </resheader>
      <resheader name="writer">
        <value>System.Resources.ResXResourceWriter, System.Windows.Forms, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089</value>
      </resheader>

     <!-- Customizations begin here -->
      <data name="QAGateDefaultAnswersViolateConstraintsMessage" xml:space="preserve">
        <value>Each answer must contain at least three characters, and two answers can't be the same.</value>
      </data>
    </root>

    Restart the IIS with iisreset in CMD.

    If you're experiencing the same issue with the error message, the name for it is "QAGateDefaultSpecificAnswerViolatesContstraintsMessage"
