Is it just me, or is Defender just one big pain in the bum? It's seruptitiously snuck its way into our operating system with little or no controls. Its latest endeavour has been to block Asus SmartDoctor upon startup, which I know isn't exactly flawless in itself, but it's the only thing I have to control the fan on my GPU. I know that if I right click on the blocked tray icon I can enable it but that is something I'm not prepared to put up with every time I boot the PC. I've also looked in the main defender window to "enable" the program but it is greyed out. Does anybody know how to permanently add a program to the allowed list of Defender?
it can be done by "Creating a new Task" via the Task-Scheduler. Press [Win]+[R] and than type taskschd.msc. I would create a new folder, below the Microsoft folder, and put the custom tasks in there. Than you can create your custom task.
