Include reference styles in templates and documents RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have adjusted a reference style which should be used in all documents and templates in the company. Instead of having all to copy the reference style to "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\Bibliography\Style\", I would like to include the reference style in the templates and documents. Is this possible?

  • Hi,

By default any new styles you create are only added to the active document. When you are either adding new styles or changing existing styles, Word allows you to update the template to reflect those style changes.

  • Hi

    Thank you for your answer.

I think that I haven't been clear enough about the problem.
It isn't just the normal styles that I want to include. Is it the reference style used for the bibliography as e.g. described here: http://productivegeek.com/articles/using-microsoft-word-2010s-references-feature-for-students/
The reference style used for the bibliography are normally saved under "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\Bibliography\Style\", but I would like to save the reference style inside the documents and templates, to be able to so share it with others without the need to have them to copy different files around.

    Best Regards
