How to prevent the user from adding a new task in his timesheet (PS 2013) RRS feed

  • Hi,

    Is it possible to prevent the user from adding a new task in his timesheet? (Project Server 2013 on prem)

  • Okay you can disable these by denying permissions "Create New Task Assignment" under category permission but this will not disallow to assign team task in case you want to do that as well then you can Deny "Self assign team task" in global permission

  • Please note the permission is named "New Task Assignment", (no create), and yes it works.

  • have you tried setting the timesheet policy under Timesheet settings and defaults in server settings by unchecking "Allow new personal tasks" ?

    This option "Allow new personal tasks" doesn't prevent the user from creating "Add a New Task"  :(
