  • Hi there!

    Have you enabled the Hyper-V feature?

    Go to Control PanelPrograms Turn Windows features on or off, check Hyper-V option, make sure all components are selected, and click OK. You may reboot your computer once the Hyper-V feature was added.

    In addition, to be able to enable the Hyper-V feature you need to enable the Vritualization Technology on your processor in the BIOS.

    Also make sure you have the hardware requirements for Hyper-V:

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/virtualization/hyper-v-on-windows/reference/hyper-v-requirements

    Best regards,
    Leon

  • "Virtualization Enabled In Firmware: Yes" sounds okay, you should be good to go and install the Hyper-V feature.

    Hyper-V requires Second Level Address Translation (SLAT), which for you it says "No".

    What hardware are you running?

  • Hello Leon;

    I rcv this error

    An error occurred while attempting to
    connect to server "DESKTOP-2NTJEV8".
    Check that the Virtual Machine
    Management service is running and that
    you are authorized to connect to the
    server.
    The Hyper-V Management Tools could not access an
    expected WMI class on computer 'DESKTOP-2NTJEVY.
    This may indicate that the Hyper-V Platform is not
    installed on the computer or that the version of the
    Hyper-V Platform is incompatible with these
    management tools.

  • Hello Leon;

    when i check the Hyper-V Platform it says
    Hyper-V cannot be installed. The processor does not have required virtualization capabilities

  • Hyper-V on Windows 10 requires Second Level Address Translation (SLAT) which you unfortunately don't have on your processor, quoting what you posted earlier:

    "Hyper-V Requirements:      VM Monitor Mode Extensions: Yes
                               Virtualization Enabled In Firmware: Yes
                               Second Level Address Translation: No
                               Data Execution Prevention Available: Yes"

    This is why you get the "Hyper-V cannot be installed. The processor does not have required virtualization capabilities" error.

    Sorry to say this, but if you want to run Hyper-V, you will have to get new processor.

    Hope this answers your question.

    Best regards,
    Leon

    Hyper-V requires a 64bit host OS.  It won't install on a 32bit OS.  SLAT is also a requirement, which your other post shows is missing.
