Emails take a long time to send and even to close RRS feed

    I am using Office 16.9 on a brand new Mac. When using Outlook, emails are super slow. Once writing and sending the email, I am sitting there waiting for at least eight seconds for it to disappear off my screen. The same is true for closing and email. An eight second lag. Everything else on my laptop is working at a high speed. Any ideas? Thanks.

    Hi Happymum,

    What's the type of the email account configured in Outlook for Mac?
    How about readding the account to see if there will be any improvement?

    Office for Mac has released 16.10 recently, please try checking for any install the new updates and check if the issue can be fixed.

    Generally, slow performance issue can be caused by various reasons. If the problem still persists, please refer to the following article for more possible resolutions:
