Mobile Broadband stopped working RRS feed

  • Question

  • We got mobile broadband (O2 if that is relevant) and a laptop came along with the package. Everything work superbly well, until a couple of weeks ago the connection wouldn't find the broadband network.

I can still connect to wi-fi, but nothing via the dongle.

Dongle is fine, I put it into a different laptop and it works, the other laptop sucks and everything is super slow but it finds the connection.

I could think of no reason for the loss of connectivity, I checked device manager and came across this ISATAP issue, i tried Legacy install and then but another error came up, i then tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but the two ISATAP drivers have disappeared completely from the manager and Legacy installing doesn't do anything.

Not too sure what to do now, someone suggested,

"To have your connection back (its not a final solution, but can help), start CMD.EXE as ADMINISTRATOR (in Windows\System32 folder) and type:

    netsh winsock reset"

Not sure if that is a good idea or not.

    Any suggestions?

    OS is Vista
