Frequent blue screen errors -- can anyone help please? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I keep getting blue screens on my Acer Aspire 5552 laptop. The problem signature for the latest one is pasted in below. The dmp file and the sysdata.xml files can be accessed from my dropbox at these addresses:

    https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2061862/Temp/121112-25116-01.dmp

    https://dl.dropbox.com/u/2061862/Temp/WER-4051065-0.sysdata.xml

Can anyone help me identify the source of the problem, please? Could it be a driver issue? I'd be very grateful for any advice.

    Thanks!

    Kit

Hard to tell trends from one crash (we really could use more DMPs) but it is a memory issue (probably a driver).  My gut feeling tells me it is Related to mwlPSDNServ.sys MyWinLocker PSD Named Pipe Driver from Egis Incorporated.  I would remove it at least to test and if you cant update it to a current driver (yours is from 2009)

  • Hi,

Please also try run chkdsk C: /r /f to detect and fix NTFS file system issues.

    Meanwhile,  you can refer to
