Directaccess Website RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Everyone,

We set up Directaccess for a client and everything is working well but we just noticed one little issue lately. The website doesnt work if the computer is outside the network but works internal. Just to give you a bit of information domain internal is abc.com and wesbite is abc.com. Internal there is a dns record for www pointing to the external ip of the website.  Any suggestion on how to make this work

  • Hi,

That's a common problem if your AD domain name match your public DNS name (DNS Split-Brain scenario). Default configuration of DirectAccess consider name resolution for your domain must be performed by DNS64, not by public DNS. To avoid such situation, you must add an entry in the NRPT. By default, you already have an NRPT entry for your NLS, you just have to add a new one for WWW.<Your domain.com> with the same configuration as NLS (as excluded from name resolution).
