Force DFS Backlog

Hi,

I've setup a script to monitor the DFS backlog between our primary and secondary data servers.

This has been running every 10 minutes for two days and has never shown any files queued. This is great, but being the sceptic that I am I want to force a backlog to make sure this alert is working.

How should I generate this?

For the script on how to use the DfsrReplicatedFolderConfig, DfsrReplicatedFolderInfo, and DfsrReplicationGroupConfigclasses to get replication backlog information between two servers, I suggest you refer to below example on MSDN website.

Besides, you can configure the DFS debug log severity by typing the following:

Wmic /node:"my-machine" /namespace:\\root\microsoftdfs path dfsrmachineconfig set enabledebuglog-true,debuglogseverity=5
