Pushing An Image File To Workstations Using GPO

    Question

  • I had tried a few ways to push an image file to the other workstation from my server.

    1) I had use the following script below:

    xcopy "\\gnmsrv01\GM\IT\Windows Custom Logon Screen\backgroundDefault.jpg" "c:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds" /Y

I had attached it to a GPO (Computer configuration --> Policies --> Windows Settings --> Script (Startup)

Alternatively, i had use the following method as well:

    2) Attached the file in (Computer configuration --> Preferences --> Windows Settings --> Files)

    Both methods did not work.

My question is: How will it be possible to push the image files to other workstation from the server.

My server is: Windows server 2012, Workstation: Windows 7 x64.
