    Let us know more details about the error. 

    when you got this error? are you trying to deploy any feature?

    or are you moving your site to another server? 

    Check your log details for more information ( C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\12\LOGS )

    According to your description, I am sorry to tell you that I don’t know what operations cause you got error. I suggest that you should check Event ID in your SharePoint Event Log. I guess your issue is caused by Event Id 1000: the safe mode service of Windows SharePoint Services has failed to initialize because of an known error. Please refer to this link:
