    I was logged off and the game I was playing closed down, while some updates and configurations automatically done. I don't recall windows ever doing that. I mention I have automatic restart turned off

    I've saved the relevant event logs. Are they a serious security issue if I upload them somewhere and give the link so someone looks over them and discover what it was?

    Hi mrnubiagy,

    If you installed some Windows Updates, system would remind you to restart your computer to make these Updates become effective.

    Generally speaking, windows would restart your computer automatically in 15min if you don't postpone it.

    1. Update your system before you begin any game activity, namely network one.

    2. As this is IT professional forum, people are expected to be able to analyze event log, unless there is something very special.

    3. Use SkyDrive or similar to send log files if you feel like it to be the best path to solution

    I've uploaded the logs, they can be accessed (at least in windows 7 64-bit) by double clicking them, which will open the event viewer window

    So, is it possible the postpone window didn't come up while I was in the game, but the system restarted anyway? Then turning automatic update off should've fixed this problem
