How to send email RRS feed

  • Question

  • hi,

in infopath form i have taken three controls
    1. user mail id
    2. company name
    3. send mail button

so i want to know that when i click on button, it should fetch value from user mail id text box and send mail to user.

Is it possible with out of box functionality means without using any code in C#?

    Please help me out.

    Thanks in advance.

  • hi,

to submit your form by email procede following steps:

    1. Tools - Data Connections
    click "Add..."
    A connection wizard is started
    2. select "create a new connection to 'Submit Data'" -> click "Next"
    3. select "As an e-mail message" -> click "Next"
    4. Klick on the fx Button near the "To:" field and add a reference to your "mail id" textbox -> click "next"
    5. decide to send the form as attachment or just the view -> klick "next"
    6. give a name to your dataconnection and click "finish"

    7. put a button control into your form
    8. open the properties of the button and set the action to "submit"
    9. click "submit options ..." and check "Allow users to submit this form".

save your form and try it out.

if your form is NOT opened in the browser you will get a popup which asks a user if he/she really want to send the mail. you cannot disable this popup because of spam and security reasons.
