Header Checksum error. RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi all...

I have a Compaq C700 presario laptop, already running Vista home basic. I do a clean install onto a spare hdd ( installed in place of original hdd ) and all runs awesome until first reboot. Same happens if I do an upgrade.

I get an error referring to header checksum does not match etc etc.

Any ideas? Is this a hardware issue?

The dvd seems to be fine as I did a trial install (now deleted) on my Mac in a VM. No issues there at all. The checksum for the iso is correct. I do not believe that it is corrupt.
