  • Hi,

As far as I know KB4504369 does not have any prerequisites for installation. Is there any error code received on the client about the installation failure? You can find the relevant error message by checking the client's "Setting > Update & Security > Windows Update".

Reply back with the details would be happy to help.

  • Hi ShahulFaizal,

Please confirm the update file storage method you selected in the WSUS console:

    • If you select "Store update files locally on this server", checking the download status of files in the WSUS server is the first step. You can adjust the "files status" of the displayed to see if the updated files have been downloaded.

    • If you select "Do not store update files locally...", it is the first step to check if the client can access the Microsoft Update site. You can check the site address mentioned in the following link to see if it has been allowed to be accessed by the client: "Connection from the WSUS server to the Internet".

  • Hi,

Please on the WSUS server, open the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
Refer to step 1 in the below picture to locate the Content folder.

Then click "Authentication" shown in step 2 of the picture to check if "Anonymous Authentication" is set to Enabled.

Then return, click on "Explore" shown in step 3 of the picture, under normal circumstances, you will see the WSUScontent folder through Explorer. This folder must have Read permissions for either the Users account or the NT Authority\Network Service account. If this permission is not set, BITS downloads will fail.

If the above steps are not abnormal, please consider checking the WindowsUpdate.log on the client for relevant download error information.
Reply back with the results would be happy to help.
