Could not connect config server at host at port 16005 RRS feed

  • Question

  • After install the package esp.5.3.sp3.slipstream.win32 , when I try to enter to the option "ESP Admin GUI" in the FastHome application I'm having this error: "Could not connect config server at host at port 16005"

    Does anybody has an idea?

    IPv6 is disabled.

  • Can you telnet Win2008VM port 16005? You might try to map Win2008VM to the correct ip or 127.0.0.1 (if single node) in your hosts file, see if that helps. Did you use a FQDN when you installed FSIS?

  • This is probably due to IPv6 being enabled. Even though you disable IPv6 in you network connection settings, some IPv6 features are still active. Check this by pinging your server (e.g., "ping Win2008VM"). If IPv6 IP addresses are listed then IPv6 is still enabled, then check this page (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929852) for how to disable IPv6. Set DisabledComponents to 0xffffffff. Reboot and ping your server. You should now get IPv4 IP addresses listed instead.
