Keyboard and mouse not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone.

I have an Acer Aspire 9420 laptop that I tried installing a Sprint Mobile Broadband USB modem software on.

After installing, the keyboard and mouse doesn't work, but USB keyboard and mouse works. And the onboard keyb. and mouse works when booting up, so i can start safe-mode etc, but upon loading vista, it isn't functioning anymore.

The software has been uninstalled, but the problem still exist, and I can't see the devices in the device manager.

Any suggestions on how to solve this problem ?

    I recommend contacting Acer support.

They should have the original drivers for that system and directions for re-installing them.

First thing to do is try System Restore to go back to a time before you installed that software.

Here is a website with complete instructions for using System Restore.

Hi and thanks for the reply.

System restore is a great tool, that I've used on alot of PC's. Unfortunately no system restore points, has been made on this laptop. So is there anything else I can do?

    I agree with Ronnie.

It is recommended to contact Acer support to ask for keyboard driver.

    Hope it helps.
